I prefer simple designs that do not depend only on heavy filters in the pictures. Sometimes I still make mistakes with size, so a friendly exchange policy is very helpful. Footwear is even harder because different brands cut shoes very differently. The same is true for metal versus acetate frames for glasses. It saves a lot of trial and error for everyone else. I also check if the lenses have any blue light filter or anti-reflection coating.

Sometimes one good quality item is better than five very cheap ones. I also check if the store explains how to measure PD and frame size clearly. I also think about how easy it is to track a parcel once it ships. Good packaging and a small storage bag are also nice touches for accessories. Footwear is even harder because different brands cut shoes very differently.
